Hobo

Hobo is looking for his very own sponsor! Did you all hear the story about this little guy? We can't even make this stuff up...seriously. I think I told the story before but here I go again.

When Sue and Lari went to pick up a group of Donkey's we rescued from the local kill lot a few years ago (known as the Bubbles group cause this was the group that he snuck in with) and as they were loading to get ready to leave the kill lot...they all counted and counted again because the numbers weren't matching up. Long story short...they looked a little harder and here was this tiny, little red dude looking up at them in the middle of the herd and how can you possibly say no to that face? We obviously couldn't!! He was a little stow away just like Bubbles but we never really told the story cause who would believe it?! 😛

Anyway, right after they returned to the rescue...we got them all settled in and I believe it was that day or the next day that Sue told the story on Bubbles on her Facebook page and it went viral so little Hobos story never really got told. Sue and Lari named him Hobo on the spot because of the whole situation...and nothing else fit him so Hobo it was. HA!! He's still a bit of a shy boy but he's so happy and he's found the love of his life, Jill. (Middle picture is of them together.) Love doesn't discriminate here and neither one of them care about their size difference. He loves his girl and doesn't care what anyone else thinks. 😛 #oddcouple LOL They also "adopted" a young mammoth donkey named Blizzard into their little family. Where one goes... the others follow and it's a beautiful thing to see. He's such a little cutie, isn't he? If you sponsor ...we will be sending you an updated pic each month of your sponsor baby. 😛 Thank you for helping support Hobo and Becky's Hope.

Jedi

Meet JEDI - We were called in to investigate a complaint on starving horses. When we got there...we saw one Horse down that wasn't doing to well...another horse and a donkey. After talking with sheriff and the owner....the owner finally agreed to let us call a vet out. Unfortunately the horse did not make it and had to be euthanized at the scene. (very, very sad) With the help of the sheriff....the owner finally agreed to surrender the Donkey who we named Jedi and a small skinny black horse we name Cinderella...but we called her Ella. Ella has since been adopted. Jedi is a shy guy...but he's really coming around. He has four other Donkey and three Horse friends in his pasture....he's got plenty of room to roam and enjoys hanging our with his herd. We're very happy he ended up with a life of love and attention. Please consider sponsoring this big beautiful guy.

Owen

Owen is a mule who came to BHHR along with his herd mate Kiki. The pair had a family that cared well for them but were moving to Florida and would no longer be able to keep them so we accepted them into our rescue with open arms. They were both in excellent shape when they were brought to the rescue and are in need of forever homes. Owen is possibly mixed with Rocky Mountain or Quarter Horse. He can be shy around new people but he has been trained for saddle. He enjoys his new friends here at the rescue and is warming up to us a bit more every day. He would love his very own sponsor.

Ozzy

Sweet little Ozzy is looking for his very own sponsor! Remember this sweet baby, Ozzy, that came in with his mom, Jelly Bean with the #LA22 group? He was just a few months old... so little...so afraid and had very little energy to nurse? Well, look at him now. What a difference a few months can make!! He is coming up for some attention...he interacts/plays with all the others in his pasture ....he's a good son to his mom and he's as cute as can be. We're still working on some areas with him (feet and halters "P) but his trust in us is getting better every day and we will get there. Keep watching us on Facebook for more updates on this little ones progress.
